Alabama Plate Cutting Company utilizes two 3000 watt LVD Impuls 4020 Laser cutting machines to cut tight tolerance metal parts. These LVD Lasers are equipped with dual 80” x 160” shuttle tables and is easily capable of maintaining tolerances of +/- 0.005” for material up to 0.875” thick.
Alabama Plate Cutting Company’s Messer CNC controlled Oxy-Fuel cutting tables measure as wide as 22’ and as long as 45’ with between 6 and 14 torches per machine. Using high-speed divergent nozzles that use an oxygen jet that opens slightly along its passage allowing the compressed oxygen to expand as it leaves, forming a high-velocity jet that spreads less than a parallel-bore nozzle, allowing a cleaner cut.
Alabama Plate Cutting offers the capabilities to machine plates, burnouts and weldments utilizing three CNC Machining Centers with a working envelope of X 30” x Y 60” x Z 30”. These machines are programmed using modern CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) and CAM (Computer Added Manufacturing) software to provide precision parts with superior repeatability and accuracy.
Alabama Plate Cutting Company offers both manual and robotic MIG Welding and manual SMAW welding. All of Alabama Plate Cutting’s welders have been certified to AWS D1.1 standards including all associated weld repair procedures.
Alabama Plate Cutting utilizes a 400 amp Plasma Torch on a 12’ x 67’ long table. Plasma works by sending a pressurized gas, such as nitrogen, argon, or oxygen, through a small channel. In the center of this channel, you'll find a negatively charged electrode.
Many of customers require parts that involve forming. To assist these customers we have a 350 ton 7-axis CNC controlled 14’ LVD Brake Press and a 160 ton 7-axis CNC controlled 12’ Brake Press.
